Early Life and Education

Juan R. Luciano was born circa 1962 in Argentina and grew up on a farm in San Nicolas, Buenos Aires. He earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology1.

Before joining ADM, Luciano had a successful 25-year tenure at The Dow Chemical Company, where he last served as executive vice president and president of the Performance division2.

Luciano joined Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) in 2011 as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
